About The Mental Health Clinic

The Mental Health Clinic is an Alberta-based virtual counselling practice providing evidence-based therapy through secure telehealth sessions.

We serve adults, teens, couples, and families across the province, offering professional mental health support by phone and video without waitlists.

All clinicians are registered Alberta professionals delivering structured, evidence-based treatment within provincial ethical and regulatory standards.

Our team brings 15 to 25 years of clinical experience and works with a broad range of mental health and relational concerns using approaches like CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, EFT, Gottman Method, and IFS.

Mission

Skilled, Genuine Care for Every Client

At The Mental Health Clinic, our mission is to provide every client with compassionate, high-quality therapy from clinicians who are both deeply experienced and passionate about the work they do.

We know how discouraging it can be to work with a therapist who feels detached or poorly matched to your needs. Every clinician on our team is selected for both their clinical expertise and their commitment to client care. Through secure online counselling across Alberta, we make therapy accessible without sacrificing the quality or connection that makes it meaningful.

Vision

A Trusted Virtual Clinic, Built on Heart and Skill

Our vision is to make qualified, compassionate counselling available to anyone in Alberta, regardless of where they live or what their circumstances are. As a fully virtual clinic, we remove geographic and logistical barriers to care while maintaining the relational quality of in-person therapy.

We want to be a clinic Albertans can rely on: one where clients feel safe, where the care is consistent, and where the therapeutic relationship is taken seriously. By combining clinical excellence with genuine investment in each client's progress, we aim to change not only how people experience therapy, but how they understand themselves and their relationships.

Core Pillars

How we Bring our Mission and Vision to Life

At The Mental Health Clinic, we believe every person carries the capacity for growth and change. Our role is to provide the conditions where that capacity can be recognized and developed. Many people come to us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted and uncertain about how to move forward. That is a reasonable place to be, and it is exactly what therapy is designed to address.

Our clinical philosophy is expressed through the L.E.A.P. framework, which reflects how we think about clients and the change process:

  • L

Limitless: We do not treat your current struggles as a fixed ceiling. With the right clinical support, people routinely move beyond patterns and limitations they once believed were permanent.

  • E

Express: Every person deserves a space where they can speak openly and without judgment. Expression creates the conditions for genuine insight and lasting self-understanding.

  • A

Address: Challenges that feel overwhelming rarely are when approached with clarity and the right tools. We work with you to understand what is happening and build a practical path forward.

  • P

Progress: Meaningful change comes from consistent, incremental movement, not perfection. We take growth seriously at every stage, because momentum builds on itself.
